Linda Lohmann

After receiving the diagnosis of cancer in June of 2021, Linda Lohmann, 71, of Higginsville, MO, faced this daunting battle with courage until the very end on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Linda was born on January 9, 1951 to Horace Edward McCulloch and Lula Elizabeth McCulloch (nee Tebbenkamp) in Kansas City, MO. After graduating from Lafayette County C-1 in 1969, Linda began working for the Lafayette County Courthouse for a short time before dedicating 52 years of her life caring for children. In 1966, Linda met Curtis Lohmann, and they wed September 12, 1970 going on to have 3 children, Tonya (Isaac) Hall of Blue Springs, MO, Todd (Tanya) Lohmann of Camdenton, MO, and Christina Lohmann of Higginsville. Linda’s love for children motivated her to continue her role as a child care provider to the end of her life. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Higginsville where she previously served on the banner committee. Her love for playing games, going to Branson, and scrolling social media kept her entertained as well as attending coffee with the "Storm Sisters." Linda was predeceased by her parents, Horace and Lula McCulloch; two brothers, Edward and Bob McCulloch; four sisters, Betty Browning, Doris Whitsitt, Beverly Green, and Lois Raney. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Lohmann; her three children, six grandsons, Spencer Lohmann, Payton Lohmann, Jacob Lohmann, Xavier Hall, Xander Hall, and Prynze Lohmann; three granddaughters, Rachel Smith-Lohmann, Denisa Lohmann, and Latrice Lohmann; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wendell and Sandra Starkebaum; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with a funeral service at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the church with Rev. Kurt Brandon officiating. Interment following at the Higginsville City Cemetery. Casket bearers: Xavier Hall, Xander Hall, Spencer Lohmann, Payton Lohmann, Jacob Lohmann, and Rachel Smith-Lohmann. Honorary casket bearers: Denisa Lohmann, Latrice Lohmann, and Prynze Lohmann. Memorial contributions can be made to Family Choice.
