Beulah E. Schnakenberg

Beulah Elouise (Heyer) Schnakenberg, age 87 years of Higginsville, died on May 1, 2014 at NorthCare Hospice House. Beulah was born on June 12, 1926, at Higginsville, Missouri. She married Wilbert Jacob Schnakenberg on February 8, 1948 and they were blessed with three children , Sherril (Jerry) White of Independence , Missouri; Ronnie (Jo) Schnakenberg of Lakeview, Arkansas and Donnie (Ruth) Schnakenberg, Kansas City, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Tim (Carrie) Carey of Topeka, Kansas; Sherri DeLong of Independence, Missouri, Krista Carey of Topeka, Kansas, Ben (Carla) Schnakenberg of Rye, New York; Josh (Laurie) Schnakenberg of Zeeland, Michigan; Sarah (Bryan) Newman of Blue Springs, Missouri and Tad Schnakenberg, Liberty, Missouri; 11 great grandchildren, Amber Carey (David Cole) and Wyatt Carey; James, Jay, Chyanne and Cole DeLong; Zachary Webber; Jake Schnakenberg; Alivia and Leah Schnakenberg; Katelyn Newman and one great granddaughter, Vanessa Cole. Beulah lived in the Higginsville area for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Wilbert on May 4, 2008; parents, Chris & Malthilda Heyer, brothers, Chester and Chris Heyer, Jr.; sisters, Hazel Niemeier, Lorene Schnakenberg, and Rose Klausmeier. Surviving Beulah are her children, brothers Lester Heyer of Fort Pierce, Florida, Delmar (Marion) Heyer of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. Beulah worked at Meyer Nursing Home as a laundry supervisor for many years and also Buck's Country Mart. She retired in 1991. Beulah will be remembered for her graciousness and care of others. She and her husband square danced with the Spinnin' Wheels from Concordia, Missouri. Beulah was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Special thanks to Pastor Jauss, who provided Beulah with love, support and cares during her last days. Visitation and funeral services will be on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Higginsville, MO. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. with the funeral immediately following officiated by Pastor Marcus Jauss and Marilyn Boeschen as organist.
