Carl D. Gosoroski

Carl D. Gosoroski, age 75, of Higginsville, Missouri passed away peacefully July 5, 2015 at Lees Summit Medical Center. Born April 24, 1940 to the late Joseph and Myrtle Gosoroski, he lived most of his life in Higginsville. He graduated from Lafayette County C1 High School in 1958. Carl married Kay Robinett on June 2, 1962. They had two children, Pamela and Rodney. the family enjoyed traveling west, raising and showing rabbits and camping. He was an assembly worker for Ford Motor Company's Claycomo plant for 30 years, retiring in January of 1990. He also worked at Tippins Oil Company and at the local car wash in Higginsville. After his retirement he enjoyed camping, boating and traveling. He had a love of driving and working on numerous classic cars, his favorite being his 1957 Chevrolet. Following the passing of his wife Kay in 1990, he married Marlene Dudgeon on April 20, 1991. They spent their time going to country music shows and attending classic car events. Carl was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 249, past member of the MoKan Late-Great Chevy Club, Cedar Grove Christian Church and Rolling Meadows Christian Church. He was also a past member of the Higginsville Optimist Club. He is survived by one daughter Pamela (Ricky) Pirch of Holden, MO; one son Rodney (Teresa) Gosoroski of Higginsville, MO; one brother, Lester (Nancy) Gosoroski of Higginsville; four grandchildren, Nikki Pirch, Terra Schneider, Justin Chamberlain and Benjamin Chamberlain; five great grandchildren, Alana Osborne, Samantha Schneider, James Schneider, Alex Hernandez and Sophia Chamberlain. Preceding Carl in death are his parents, one brother Joseph Gosoroski Jr, one sister Frances Louise Gosoroski, his wife Kay of 27 years; and his wife Marlene of 22 years. A Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Hoefer Chapel with the Pastor Daniel Goehringer officiating. Interment will be in the City Cemetery, Higginsville. The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to Rolling Meadows Christian Church in Odessa, Missouri. Casketbearers are Ryland Gosoroski, Brandon Draisey, Harold McGlothlin, Lane Wentland, Garrett Gosoroski and Dave Schafer.
