Julia Dorothy Froeschle

Julia Dorothy Froeschle, daughter of Phillip and Louise Sparks, raised by John and Mayme Helt, was born on June 7, 1935 and passed at the age of 89 September 14, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. Julia is survived by her daughters, Karlynn Francis (Mike) of Raytown, MO, Cheryl Rhodes (Mark) of Dallas, TX, Lu Ann Kelly (Kevin), of Houston, TX; six grandchildren, Lauren Schroer (Keegan) of Independence, MO, Austin Francis (Sydney) of Spring Hill, KS, Conner Rhodes (Stephanie) of Plano, TX, Logan Rhodes of Dallas, TX, Brendan and Aileen Kelly of Houston, TX; and one great-grandson, Marcus Rhodes. Julia is also survived by her sister Evelyn Holman. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Karl K. Froeschle Jr. Julia met the love of her life, Karl, at Concordia High School and they married on March 9, 1957. Julia worked at BMA prior to Army life at Fort Gordon, Georgia where Karl was stationed. 2 children came during army life and then one more child came as they spent most of their married life in Raytown, MO. While Julia was a farm girl at heart, she spent most of her time in the city. Julia was an amazing mother to her three girls, always volunteering for school activities and being a Girl Scout Leader while working as a Price Analyst for Thriftway Grocers. Julia and Karl were avid travelers spending most of their free time with their girls traveling the United States, Mexico and Canada. Julia loved her time with her girls and passed on her passion for sewing, cooking, arts and crafts. Julia’s favorite activities were camping, fishing and she played a mean game of cards, usually winning. Julia loved the outdoors and had a special love of animals. Julia loved her family. They would all say she was a no nonsense, feisty, strong-willed woman and enjoyed kidding around with you. Favorite memories of Julia are fish fries with hushpuppies, late night card games, frog giggin’ in Oklahoma during a rainstorm, wiener roasts and smores around the campfire, kids and grandkids ball games, listening to the Royals, Chiefs and playing Bingo. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. The family will receive friends from 9:30am to 10:00am at Stewart-Hoefer Funeral Home located at 1600 Main St. The funeral service will follow from 10:00 to 11:00 on Saturday September 28, 2024. A private burial in the Veterans Cemetery will be held where she'll be laid to rest with her husband, Karl. Memorials may be made out to Michael J.
