Pearl Haynes

Pearl Elizabeth (Pollard) Haynes, 79 of Higginsville, Missouri passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville. She was born Sunday, August 12, 1945 in Higginsville, to the late William Pollard and the late Stella (Williams) Pollard. Pearl grew up in Higginsville and attended Lafayette County C-1 High School. She started her working career with the Higginsville Habilitation Center as a caregiver in mental health for several years before relocating to Independence, MO. Pearl later received her certification where she was a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), serving the community of Independence for many years. Outside of work, Pearl found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She had a spirited love for playing bingo and the penny slot machines at the casinos where she made many friends and shared countless laughs. More than anything, Pearl cherished time spent with her family. Whether it was a holiday meal, a quiet evening talking, or just being near her loved ones. Although Pearl did not have any children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own children. She was always counted on for supporting and helping them for any and all things. Her family and friends will deeply miss her wisdom, humor, and unwavering support. Surviving are two brothers, George Pollard of Liberty, MO and Richard (Darlene) Pollard of Independence; one sister, Frances (James) Watkins of Odessa, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, James (Frog) Pollard, William Pollard, Charles Pollard, Lewis Pollard and Erskin Pollard; and one sister, Amanda Moreland. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Stewart-Hoefer Funeral Home, 1600 Main St. Higginsville, Missouri. Interment will follow in Mt. Muncie Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Repast will follow the burial at Benton Hall located at 1806 Walnut in Higginsville at 3:00 PM. The family suggests memorials to the Higginsville Habilitation Center - Parent's Association.
