December 12, 1947 - February 21, 2022

Margee Ann Iles (Dryer), 74 of Higginsville, Missouri passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, at her home. She was born Friday, December 12, 1947 in Higginsville, to the late Roger Dryer and the late Margee Dryer (Schroer). Ann graduated from Higginsville High School and married Kenneth Iles on November 27, 1966. Ann worked for a short time at Repp Motors and opened her own clothing store with her sister Carolyn, Sunshine Children's Shop. After raising her boys, she went back to school and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education at CMSU in Warrensburg, Missouri. Ann spent 25 plus years working between the Higginsville Habilitation Center, Rolling Meadow, and Lakeview Woods. Ann retired in 2014. Ann's passion in life has always been caring for others, whether her family, her students, or members of her community. Being an active member of Salem United Church of Christ, she spent countless hours leading the Youth Choir for 36 years, Little Notes for 32 years, Chime Bell Director 8 years, church plays, and many other music projects. She also volunteered her time working with the Foster Grandparents Organization. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority - chapter Xi Gama Zeta. She volunteered as a 4-H project leader and as a camp counselor with her husband. She loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren grow. Ann will be dearly missed by everyone who came to know her. Surviving are two sons, Brent (Devon) Iles of Grain Valley, MO and Brian (Jamie) Iles of Higginsville; two brothers, Darrell (Cheri) Dryer of Liberty, MO and Mark (Laura) Dryer of Saint Louis, MO; one sister, Carolyn (Bob) Rauch of Higginsville; five grandchildren, Gabe, Dru, Noah, Luke, and Maggie. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenneth Iles. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, February 25, 2022, at Salem United Church of Christ. A funeral service will directly follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. Andy Mockridge officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery, Higginsville. Casket Bearers: Conor Dryer, Blake Dryer, Adam Rauch, Ben Rauch, Kent Dryer, Kirk Dryer, Gabe Iles, Noah Iles. Honorary Casket Bearers: Luke Iles, Kelcie Beahan, Dru Iles, Maggie Iles. Memorials may be made to Salem United Church of Christ - Youth Choir or Little Notes.
