Deloras E. Green Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Deloras E. Green, age 74, of Higginsville, Missouri died on Monday, September 13, 2010, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Born Monday, October 14, 1935 in Mayview, Missouri, she was the daughter of Everette Kuester and Hulda Kueck Kuester. She married Robert A. Green August 24, 1956. He preceded her in death June 30, 1999. Also preceded in death are her parents, two brothers, Forrest J. Kuester, and Everette H. Kuester, Jr.; and three sisters, Lorene Reynolds, Mary Ann Willman, and Genny Breckle. She worked as a packer at Ace Radio, Inc., and formerly worked as a bank teller for American Bank, Higginsville, and at the Higginsville City Hall. She retired in 1993 and lived most of her life in Higginsville. She was a 1953 graduate of Higginsville High School, vice-president of Lafayette County Cancer Coalition, over 50-year member of Beta Sigma Phi, president of Higginsville Women's Club, and a member of the Krimson Kuties chapter of the Red Hat Society in Higginsville. Surviving are daughters, Lois E. (Gary) Turner of Higginsville; Cheryl L. Green of Higginsville; and Kathy A. (Bubby) Denton of Higginsville; grand children, William Cole, Kendall Cole, Ciara Denton, and Madi Denton; great-grand children, Kenyan Cole, Adrianna Cole and Keyairah Cole. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 16, 2010, at Hoefer Chapel 1600 Main St., Higginsville, with the Rev. Steven L. Goughnour officiating. Interment will be in City Cemetery, Higginsville. Pallbearers include Kendall Cole, Billy Cole, Gary Turner, Bubby Denton, Tommy Wegener, and George Schwarzer. Honorary Pallbearers are Pete Beck, Jerry Corson, Ben Lewis, and Eldred Clark. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:00 P.M.
