Frank Gene Gilmore

Frank Gene Gilmore, 59 of Mayview, Missouri formerly of Buckner, MO, died on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Born Thursday, May 22, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Billie Gene Gilmore and Lois Rider. He married Carol J. Parker August 18, 1979. Frank worked as a security officer at the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City, MO. He was a former reserve Police Officer for the Blue Springs Police Department. He lived in Buckner for 22 years, moving to Mayview in 2001. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 until 1979, ranking Staff Sergeant. Surviving are his wife, Carol J. Gilmore of the home; mother, Lois J. Toxopeus of Kingsville, MO; sons, Robert (Lori) Parker of Gilbert, AZ and Michael (Pamela) Dennis of Independence, MO; daughter, Angela Dawn Garrett of Kansas City, MO; sister, Linda (Everett) Jewett of Kingsville, MO; 5 grand children, Kaitlyn Garrett, Kristin Dennis, Shane Scarborough, James Hickman II, and Krystal Dennis. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Hoefer Chapel located at 1600 Main St. Higginsville, with Russell Shoemaker, Minister officiating. Interment will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Hoefer Chapel.
