Gertrude M. Arbogast Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gertrude M. Arbogast, 90 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Friday, November 16, 2018, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri. Born Tuesday, November 13, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Henry Keller and the late Edith Patterson Keller. She was the wife of the late Rex Arbogast, marrying April 23, 1949. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2016. She graduated high school in Detroit and moved to Higginsville in 1949 shortly after marriage. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She worked as a caregiver at Meyer Care Center and as a sales associate for Walmart for over ten years. Surviving are two sons, both of Higginsville, Duane Arbogast and Ralph (Susan) Arbogast; one daughter, Susan (Mark) LaRoche of Cookeville, TN; one sister, Betty Stevens of Detroit, MI; nine grand children; eleven great grand children; three great-great grand children. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elvira Gorski and Eva Stein; and one great-great grand child, Anna Lynn Mae Arbogast. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kurt Brandon officiating. Interment will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Casket bearers: Chris Arbogast, Jeff Arbogast, Andrea Arbogast, Chandra Arbogast, Kevin LaRoche, Kyle LaRoche. Honorary bearers: Darla Weaver, Kate Arbogast. Memorial contributions may be sent to Crossroads Hospice.
