Gladys L. "Ginger" Christopher

Gladys L. "Ginger" Christopher, age 86 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville. Born Monday, June 25, 1923 in Concordia, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Leo H. Kroencke and Wally Hanneman. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Higginsville and a former lifetime member of the Wally Airstream Club. She and Glen Christopher were united in marriage August 30, 1945. He preceded her in death July 1, 2000. Also preceded in death is one brother, Stanley "Bud" Kroencke. Ginger, as she was known by most of her family and friends, lived in Higginsville since 1962. She worked at Higginsville Floral Shop for several years, as well as Raider's Fireside Fashions and Carolyn's Fashion Flair, also located in Higginsville. She loved to cook and enjoyed catering weddings. Surviving are two sons, Dennis Christopher and his wife Marilyn of Overland Park, Kansas; and Steven Christopher of Olathe, Kansas; three grand children, Amy Christopher, Carrie Houchen and John Christopher; and two great grand children, Allison Houchen and Olivia Brown. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 19, 2010 at Grace United Methodist Church, Higginsville. Interment will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville,
