Helen C. Bergsieker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Helen C. Bergsieker, 89 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Monday, October 26, 2015, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, Missouri. Born Tuesday, November 3, 1925 in Higginsville, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Albert Gus Hoefer and the late Louise (Rinne) Hoefer. She married Raymond A. Bergsieker on November 12, 1944 and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2004. Also preceding her in death are one son Kenneth Bergsieker and one brother Maurice Hoefer. She was a life long member of Salem United Church of Christ, a member of the Women's Fellowship Circle, the Quilting Circle, she sang in the choir for over forty years, was also a primary Church school teacher and Bible school teacher and also a 4-H leader for four years. Helen worked as assistant secretary at Salem United Church of Christ for 13 years. She then became full time secretary for the following 14 years. She enjoyed music, gardening and sewing Surviving are one daughter Carol (Terry) Kirchhoff of Shawnee Mission, KS,; two grandsons Timothy (Natalie) Kirchhoff, Kevin (Meagan) Kirchhoff; three great grandchildren Emery Kirchhoff, Calvin Kirchhoff and Amelia Kirchhoff. A Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Friday at Salem United Church of Christ with the Rev. Dr. Tommy L. Faris officiating, Doris Jane Stoner, organist and Gary Riekhof vocalist. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Salem United Church of Christ.
