James M. Duncan, 71 of Lexington, Missouri died on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Riverbend Heights Health & Rehabilitation in Lexington. Born Wednesday, June 5, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri, he was the son of the late Leonard Duncan and the late Cleata (Hendricks) Duncan. James lived most of his life in Higginsville and was a 1964 graduate of Higginsville High School. He then obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in accounting from Central Missouri State University in 1974. He was an assembly worker at Lake City Arsenal, retiring in 2008. He also was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and has lived in Lexington since 2015. Surviving are two sons; Nathaniel (Haila) Duncan of Richmond, VA and Jonathan Duncan of Higginsville, and 3 grandchildren; Asher, Amara and Ari Duncan. A funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at First Assembly of God Church located at 1050 West 19th St. Higginsville, Missouri 64037. Interment will be in the Higginsville City Cemetery. There is no scheduled visitation.
