Selma Jean Liese, 94 of Corder, Missouri died on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington, Missouri. Born Wednesday, November 7, 1917 in Litchfield, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Orren Slote and the late Bessie M. Parsley Slote. Mrs. Liese lived most of her life in Corder. She was a homemaker and a member of the Corder United Methodist Church. She married C. W. Liese on October 24, 1938. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2006. Also preceded in death are one son, Ronnie D. Liese, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Surviving are sons, Jerry D. Liese of Corder, MO and Charles (Judy) D. Liese of Lexington, MO, daughters, Joyce (Jim) Wiley of Blue Springs, MO, Patricia Ann Liese of Corder, MO and Linda S. Kallenberger of Higginsville, MO; 5 grand children; 8 great grand children and 2 great great grand children. A funeral service will be at 9:30 A.M. on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Corder United Methodist Church with the Pastor Ralph Varner and Rev. Tim Biesemeyer officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Corder, MO. Pallbearers are Michael Kallenberger, John Lumpe, Dan Wiley, Greg Lorenz, Micah Madison and Kenny Fricke. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Wiley and Glenn Emis. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Hoefer Funeral Home, 1600 Main St., Higginsville, Missouri.
