Jesse Brooks Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jesse Albert Brooks, Jr., 62 of Bruner, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, surrounded by family at his home. He was born Friday, July 31, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Jesse Brooks Sr. and the late Shirley (O'Hare) Brooks. He graduated from Concordia High School married Becky (Moore) Brooks on June 22, 1979. They spent 43 happy years together. Jesse worked as a heavy equipment operator in the railroad tie industry. He traveled some doing electrical work for subcontractors with Walmart and also later in life worked at the Higginsville Habilitation Center. In 2019 he and Becky made the move to Springfield, Missouri. He had an interest in technology and loved computers. Jesse was a family man and enjoyed nothing more than watching his grandchildren grow and learn. He was passionate about taking an interest in all the family’s children and watching them excel in whatever they were involved in. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family that loved him. Surviving are his wife, Becky of the home; two sons, Zachary (Michelle) Brooks of Bruner and Joshua (Jessica) Brooks of Higginsville, MO; one sister, Regina Roberts; four grandchildren, Preston, Kiara, Gabriel, Zoey; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother-in-law, Donnie Roberts. The family will celebrate Jesse's life with a visitation from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Stewart-Hoefer Funeral Home 1600 Main St. Higginsville, Missouri. Cremation will follow after the visitation per his wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to Compassus Hospice.
