Raymond "Pete" Kuecker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Raymond "Pete" Kuecker, age 87 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at his home. Born Tuesday, April 22, 1924 in Concordia, Missouri, he was the son of Leonard Kuecker and Emelie (Martens) Kuecker. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Kuecker served in the U.S. Army from 1944 until 1946 ranking Sergeant. He married Marveline Schlesselman June 6, 1954. Mr. Kuecker was a resident of Higginsville since 1960 and worked in sales and parts for several implement dealers, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Higginsville, and Higginsville American Legion Post #223. Preceded in death are his parents; one son. Keith Ray Kuecker, three brothers, Omar, Paul and Elbert Kuecker; and one sister, Edna Martens. Surviving are three daughters, Donna (Bob) Brown of Higginsville, Mary (Don) Wahonick of Omaha, Nebraska and Karen (David) Palmer of Blue Springs, Missouri; five grand children, Kalie (Rodney) Erdman, Matt Wahonick, Jenni Wahonick, Mia Palmer, Trevor Palmer; one step grandson, Scott (Mary) Brown; two great grand children, Ellie and Alex Erdman; and one step great granddaughter, Kylee Brown. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1501 Lipper Ave. Higginsville with Pastor Marcus Jauss officiating and Marilyn Boeschen as organist. Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville. Friends may call from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Friday at the Church. The Family suggests memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Casket bearers are Matt Wahonick, Trevor Palmer, Robert Kuecker, Larry Martens, Marcus Kuecker, and Scott Olsen.
