Timothy J. "Tim" Leonard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Timothy J. "Tim" Leonard, age 63 of Raytown, Missouri died on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at his sister's home. Born Friday, February 23, 1951 in Martinsville, Indiana, he was the son of the late James Andrew Leonard and the late Marjorie Ruth (Sellers) Leonard. Mr. Leonard lived in the Kansas City area for over 25 years, moving to Florida in 2013. He worked as a former lawyer in multiple states, then became a security guard for several companies in the Kansas City area, retiring in 2009. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and also in the Army National Guard, serving during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Surviving are one daughter, Amy (Stephen) Robitzsch of Lees Summit, Missouri; two brothers, Steve (Jacque) Leonard of Stilesville, Indiana, Dave (Diane) Leonard of Kanosha , Wisconsin; one sister, Janie James of Jacksonville, Florida, and two grandsons, Kyle and Noah Robitzsch. Preceding him in death are his parents and one son, Jason Andrew Leonard. A Graveside Funeral Service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Missouri State Veterans Chapel in Higginsville, Missouri with Pat Koontz officiating. Interment will follow.
